Raisin-Filled Cookies

Ingredients
  Shortening 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Flour 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Cream of tartar 2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Raisin filling 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Beat the shortening and brown sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs.
Mix the flour, cream of tartar and baking soda.
Add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk, mixing well after each addition.
Roll 1/8 inch thick on a floured surface.
Cut into circles with a biscuit cutter.
Place a spoonful of raisin filling in the center of half the circles.
Top with the remaining dough circles and press edges to seal.
Place on a nonstick cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for 15 minutes
