Coconut Orange Jumbles

Ingredients
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sugar 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Egg yolks 2 , well beaten
  Shredded coconut 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Cake flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Soda 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Strained orange juice 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Coconut 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Cream shortening and sugar together.
Add egg yolk and coconut and beat well.
Sift together flour, salt and soda and add to the creamed mixture alternately with orange juice.
After each addition beat until smooth.
Drop by 1/2 teaspoons onto ungreased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle with additional coconut and grated orange peel.
Bake in hot oven (425°F.) 10 to 12 minutes.
COCONUT BALLS Use above recipe but form into small balls.
Bake and dip balls into a thin Confectioners' Icing.
Roll immediately in shredded coconut.
