Foundation Drop Cookies

Ingredients
  Shortening 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Brown sugar/White sugar 1 1⁄3 Cup (21.33 tbs)
  Egg 1 , beaten
  Cake flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 1 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream shortening, add sugar slowly and cream thoroughly.
Add beaten egg.
Sift the dry ingredients together and add to the creamed mixture alternately with the milk and vanilla.
Drop by teaspoons onto a greased cookie sheet and bake in a moderate oven (375°F.) 10 to 15 minutes.
Makes 50 cookies 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
