Hickory Nut Drops
|Shortening||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Cake flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Hickory nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped|
Cream shortening and sugar together until fluffy.
Add eggs one at a time beating thoroughly after each addition.
Sift flour and baking powder together and add alternately with the milk to the creamed mixture.
Fold in vanilla and nuts.
Drop from teaspoon onto a greased cookie sheet and bake 15 minutes at 375Â°F.
