Cream 3/4 cup soft butter, 1/2 cup sugar, 1 egg, 1 teaspoon vanilla, and 1/4 teaspoon salt.
Stir in 1 3/4 cups sifted enriched flour.
Chill 1 hour.
Shape in 1 inch balls.
Place on ungreased cooky sheet.
Top each with a chocolate mint candy wafer (not cream filled) takes one 7 ounce package.
Bake in hot oven (400Â°) 8 to 10 minutes.
Remove from pan.
