Chocolate Crinkles

Chocolate crinkles are chocolate cookies made with unsweetened chocolate and walnuts. Baked with flour, milk and eggs with a dash of vanilla for flavor, the chocolate crinckles are great for serving with warm milk.
Ingredients
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Granulated sugar 1 2⁄3 Cup (26.67 tbs)
  Vanilla 2 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2
  Unsweetened chocolate squares 2 , melted
  Sifted enriched flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Chopped walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Confectioner's sugar 1 Tablespoon, sifted
Directions

Thoroughly cream shortening, sugar, and vanilla.
Beat in eggs, then chocolate.
Sift together dry ingredients; blend in alternately with milk.
Add nuts.
Chill 3 hours.
Form in 1 inch balls.
Roll in confectioners' sugar.
Place on greased cooky sheet 2 to 3 inches apart.
Bake at 350° about 15 minutes.
Cool slightly; remove from pan.
