Raisin Butter Cookies
|Butter/Shortening||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Confectioner's sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vanilla||1 1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Raisin bran/1 cup post toasties / post 40% bran flakes / grape-nuts flakes / 0.25 cup raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Post Brand)|
Cream butter, add salt and confectioners' sugar gradually, and cream until light and fluffy.
Add vanilla; then add the flour and mix well.
Stir in cereal.
Shape cooky dough into small balls (about 1-inch diameter) and place on ungreased baking sheet.
Flatten with fork.
Bake in moderate oven (375Â°F.) 12 to 15 minutes, or until done.
While warm, sprinkle with additional confectioners' sugar.
