Walnut Raisin Spicy Cookies

Ingredients
  Butter 1 Cup (16 tbs) (room temperature)
  Sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Eggs 3
  Flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Walnuts 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), chopped
  Raisins 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
Directions

Cream the butter and sugar in a mixing bowl until light and fluffy.
Add the eggs one at a time, beating well after each addition.
In a separate bowl, combine the flour, baking powder and spices.
Beat into the butter mixture, stirring well.
Combine the walnuts and raisins and stir into the mixture; blend well.
Drop the batter with a teaspoon onto wax-paper lined baking sheets about 1-inch apart.
Bake at 375 degrees until golden brown.
Transfer to wire racks to cool.
These cookies keep well in a covered cookie jar.
