Ingredients
  Grape nuts flakes 1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)
  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs), sifted
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon (Preferably Calumet)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Butter/Other shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs) (Firmly Packed)
  Eggs 2
  Vanilla 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Lemon juice 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Toasties/Post 40% bran flakes. 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs) (Preferably Post)
Directions

Crush cereal.
Sift flour once, measure, add baking powder and salt, and sift again.
Cream shortening, add sugar gradually, and cream together until light and fluffy.
Add eggs.
Add flour gradually; then add vanilla, lemon juice, and cereal.
Shape into rolls, 1 1/2 inches in diameter.
Wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight, or until firm.
Cut into thin slices.
Bake in hot oven (400°F) for 5 to 6 minutes.
