Crispy Oatmeal Cookies
|Shortening||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|All-purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chopped nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Quick cooking oats||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
Heat oven to 350Â°.
Mix thoroughly shortening, sugars, egg, water and vanilla.
Stir in remaining ingredients.
Drop doughby rounded teaspoonfuls 1 inch apart onto greased baking sheet.
Bake 12 to 15 minutes or until almost no imprint remains when touched with finger: Immediately remove from baking sheet.
Store in lightly covered container.
