How to Make Jam Thumbprint Cookies- Christmas Cookies

Here's a simple and easy recipe for making Jam Thumbprint cookies which not only look good but taste great as well. Great for sharing with friends and family, as food gifts for your neighbors, school teachers or just bake them for Santa this Christmas season.
Ingredients
  Melted unsalted butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Cream cheese 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Baking powder 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Eggs 1 Large
  Jam 3 Tablespoon (2-3, of your choice)
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 375 degree F.
2. Line a baking sheet with parchment paper and set aside.

MAKING
3. In a mixing bowl, whisk melted butter and cream cheese until creamy.
4. Add baking powder, sugar, vanilla, and egg. Beat after each addition.
5. Gradually add the flour and mix until combined. Pop the dough in refrigerator for 30 minutes. You can also freeze it for up to 3 weeks.
6. Clump dough, roll into balls, flatten and place on lined baking sheet.
7. Make thumb indentation on cookies and fill them with jam.
8. Pop in oven and bake for 8-10 minutes. Remove from oven and let cool for 2 minutes.

SERVING
9. Serve and enjoy!

TIPS
You can decorate the cookies with nuts if desired.
