|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs) (or margarine)|
|Powdered sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Nuts||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), finely chopped|
|Powdered sugar||1 Tablespoon (for garnish)|
Cream butter, sugar, and vanilla well. Stir flour and salt together and blend in. Mix in nuts. Chill dough. Roll dough into small balls using about 1 teaspoon of dough for each cookie, and place on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake for 10 to 12 minutes or until set but not brown. While warm, roll in powdered sugar. Cool. Roll in powdered sugar again. Chocolate Snowballs: Add 1/2 cup chocolate chips to dough.
