Delicious Christmas cookies!
Ingredients
For peanut butter blossom
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Creamy peanut butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Eggs 1
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Milk 2 Tablespoon
  All purpose flour 1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon (for rolling)
  Hershey kisses 40
For sugar cookies and frosting
  Butter 1 Cup (16 tbs), softened
  Powdered sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Almond extract 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  All purpose flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
For frosting
  Butter 6 Tablespoon, softened
  Powdered sugar 2 2⁄3 Cup (42.67 tbs)
Directions

For Peanut Butter Blossom:
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 375 degree F.

MAKING
2. In a bowl, combine the shortening, peanut butter, sugar and brown sugar. Cream together with a mixer.
3. Add in the egg, vanilla extract and milk, and beat together.
4. In a separate bowl, combine flour, baking soda, and salt.
5. Slowly incorporate the dry ingredients into the wet and mix until well combined.
6. Take the dough and form a 1-inch round ball then toss in a bowl of sugar and place on a baking sheet. Repeat the process with all of the dough.
7. Bake in a preheated oven for 10-12 minutes or until golden brown.
8. After removing the cookies from the oven, place 1 Hershey kiss into each cookie pushing halfway down.

SERVING
9. Serve and enjoy!

For Sugar Cookies and Frosting:
GETTING READY
1. Preheat oven to 375 degree F.

MAKING
2. In a small mixing bowl, cream butter and powder sugar until light and fluffy.
3. Beat in egg, vanilla, and almond extract.
4. Gradually add flour and salt, mix well.
5. Divide in half, flatten and wrap each portion in plastic wrap. Refrigerate for at least 30 minutes or until easy to handle.
6. On a lightly floured surface, roll dough to 1/8-inch thickness. Cut with floured cookie cutters and place on a baking sheet.
7. Bake for 10 minutes or until lightly browned. Place on a wire rack to cool.
For Frosting:
8. In a small mixing bowl, beat butter, powdered sugar, vanilla and milk until you achieve spreading consistency.

FINALIZING
9. Spread frosting on cookies.

SERVING
10. Serve cookies with a glass of a hot beverage!
