Ginger Drop Cookies

Whether you would like to bake cookies for your fundraiser event or for your little ones school , this ginger drop cookies is just what you need. A simple and easy cookie recipe that lets you do all that you want without a whole lot of effort
Ingredients
  Shortening 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Molasses 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Soda 1 Teaspoon
  Ginger 1 Teaspoon
  Flour 5 Cup (80 tbs)
  Confectioner' s sugar 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Cream shortening and sugar; add egg, beating well.
Add molasses.
Dissolve soda in 1 cup hot water; add alternately with salt, ginger and flour to egg mixture.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls on ungreased cookie sheet.
Bake at 375 degrees for about 15 minutes.
Frost with confectioners' sugar icing while warm.
Yield: 4-5 dozen.
