Holiday Melting Moments
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs), softened (No Substitutes)|
|Packed brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Cake flour||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Cream of tartar||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Quartered candied cherries||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs) (Red And/Or Green)|
|Chopped pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
In a mixing bowl, cream butter and brown sugar.
Beat in the egg and vanilla.
Combine the dry ingredients; gradually add to the creamed mixture.
Stir in cherries and pecans.
Drop by teaspoonfuls 2 in apart onto well-grsed baking sheets.
Bake at 350° for 8-10 minutes or until golden brown.
Remove to wire racks to cool.
