Cream Cheese Macadamia Cookies
|Butter||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened (No Substitutes)|
|Cream cheese||8 Ounce, softened (1 Package)|
|Packed brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Grated orange peel||4 Teaspoon|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Chopped salted macadamia nuts/Almonds||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
In a mixing bowl, cream the butter, cream cheese, brown sugar, orange peel and vanilla.
Combine flour and baking powder.
Gradually add to the creamed mixture; mix well.
Fold in nuts.
Cover and refrigerate for 1 hour or until firm.
Drop by rounded teaspoonfuls 2 in apart onto ungreased baking sheets; flatten slightly.
Bake at 400° for 9-11 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove to wire racks to cool.
