Ingredients
  Unsweetened chocolate 2 Ounce
  Shortening 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 2⁄3 Cup (26.67 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 2 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2
  Flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Milk 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Chopped walnuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sifted powdered sugar 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Melt chocolate; set aside to cool.
In a large mixer bowl, thoroughly cream shortening, sugar and vanilla.
Beat in eggs, then melted chocolate.
Combine flour, baking powder and salt.
Add alternately with milk to chocolate mixture.
Beat until blended.
Stir in walnuts.
Chill several hours.
When ready to bake, preheat oven to 350°F (175°C).
Grease cookie sheets.
Form dough into 1 -inch balls.
Roll in sifted powdered sugar.
Place on prepared cookie sheets 2 to 3 inches apart.
Bake 15 minutes.
Cool slightly before placing on wire racks.
