Orange Drop Cookies

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Brown sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Orange juice 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Orange rind 3 Teaspoon, grated
  Lemon, rind 1 Teaspoon, grated (lemon)
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Sour milk 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  All purpose flour 3 1⁄2 Cup (56 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Baking soda 1 Teaspoon
  Dates 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
  Nuts 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped
Directions

MAKING
1. In a large bowl, cream butter and sugar together till light and fluffy; add eggs, orange juice, grated peel of orange and lemon, vanilla and sour milk; beat well to blend
2. In a clean bowl, sift flour, baking powder and soda, and salt and blend into the beaten mixture along with nuts and dates
3. Drop the batter by the spoonfuls onto a buttered cookie sheet and bake at 350°F for fifteen minutes

SERVING
4. Serve as appropriate
