Filled Marzipan Cookies
|Ground almonds||1⁄2 Pound|
|Powdered sugar||1⁄2 Pound|
|Pineapple||1 (In Pieces)|
|Ginger||1 Teaspoon (To Sprinkle)|
|Walnut halves||1 Cup (16 tbs) (For Decoration)|
1)In a bowl, make marzipan by mixing the almonds, sugar and egg to a stiff paste.
2)Roll it into ½ inch thick, cut into 1 inch strips and place around the cookies, leaving a space in the middle.
3)Sprinkle ginger on the pineapple, and fill the center of the marzipan cookies.
4)Cover with chocolate frosting and decorate with walnuts.
5)Serve the marzipan cookies for Christmas.
