Ingredients
  Butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Dark brown sugar 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Soda water 1 Tablespoon
  Soda 1 Tablespoon, dissolved in 1 tablespoon of hot water
  Hot water 1 Tablespoon, for dissolving soda
  Cream of tartar 1 Teaspoon
  Flour 3 Cup (48 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Vanilla 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Lemon extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Pecans 2 Cup (32 tbs), finely chopped
Directions

GETTING READY
1. Preheat the oven to 375 degrees

MAKING
2. In a large bowl, cream the butter and sugar
3. Add the eggs and the rest of the ingredients with the cream of tartar well mixed into the flour
4. Chill the dough
5. Shape the dough into a rectangle and roll into waxed paper
6. Chill again
7. Slice the cookies out and then place them on a greased baking sheet
8. Bake at 375 degrees for 10 minute or till done

SERVING
9. Serve cold
