|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking soda||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Quick cooking oats||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Seedless raisins||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Dates||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
1)In a bowl, beat together shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
2)Add molasses, vanilla and egg and beat well.
3)In another bowl, sift together flour, salt, cinnamon and soda.
4)Mix it with creamed mixture well.
5)Add oats, raisins and dates.
6)Take a greased baking sheet and drop batter with teaspoon on it.
7)Bake at 350 degrees for 10 to 15 minutes.
8)Serve the oatmeal macaroons at the snack time.
