Oatmeal Drop Cookies
|Soft butter/Margarine||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sifted all purpose flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cinnamon||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Ground cloves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground allspice||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Quick-cooking rolled oats||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Raisins||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs), cut into small pieces|
|Chopped nuts||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
Cream butter until light and fluffy.
Gradually beat in sugar.
Add egg and beat until light.
Sift flour with salt, baking soda, and spices; add oats, raisins, and nuts.
Add to first mixture alternately with milk and mix well.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (350°F.) for about 15 minutes.
