Candy Window Cookies
|Butter/Margarine||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 1⁄4 Cup (20 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Hard sour candy||3 Ounce, crushed|
Cream together butter and sugar.
Beat in egg and vanilla.
Stir together flour, baking powder, and salt; stir into creamed mixture.
Chill 1 hour.
Roll dough 1/2 inch thick on floured surface.
Cut in desired shapes.
Cut out centers, leaving a 1/2-inch wall.
Place cookies on foil-lined cookie sheet.
Put 1/2 teaspoon candy in the center of each cut-out cookie.
Bake at 375° till candy melts, 6 to 7 minutes.
Cool and peel off foil.
