Ingredients
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Brown sugar 1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)
  Eggs 3 , beaten well
  Raisins 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Soda 3⁄4 Teaspoon
  Pastry flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Nutmeg 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Nuts 1 Cup (16 tbs), chopped
Directions

Cream sugar and shortening; add eggs.
Sift together dry ingredients, then add.
Add raisins and nuts which have been mixed with 1/2 c.of the flour.
Bake 10 minutes at 400°.
