|Soft butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Confectioners sugar||1 Tablespoon|
|Water||1 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs) (Unsifted)|
|Chopped california walnuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cream butter and 1/4 cup confectioners' sugar.
Add remaining ingredients and mix well.
Shape into rolls about 1/2 inch in diameter and cut into 1-inch pieces.
Put on ungreased cookie sheets and pull ends down slightly to form crescent shapes.
Bake in preheated moderate oven (375°F.) for about 15 minutes.
While warm, roll in confectioners' sugar; roll again when cool.
Makes about 6 dozen walnut crescents.
