|Brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Well beaten eggs||2|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Quick cooking oatmeal||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Chopped walnut meats||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
Thoroughly cream shortening and sugars, add eggs and vanilla, beat well.
Add sifted dry ingredients, then add oatmeal and nuts, mix well.
Shape in rolls, wrap in waxed paper and chill overnight.
Slice 1/4 inch thick.
Bake on an ungreased cookie sheet in a 350 degree oven for 10 minutes.
Makes 5 dozen.
