Christmas Tree Cookies

  Golden sugar cookie mix 10 Ounce (1 package)
  Eggs 2
  Oil/Puritan oil 1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)
  Green food color 2 Drop
  Sliced natural almonds 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Pecan halves 2 Tablespoon, cut in half
  Red candied cherries 2 Tablespoon, cut in fourths

1. Preheat oven to 375°F. Combine cookie mix, eggs, oil and 4 to 5 drops green food coloring in large bowl. Stir until thoroughly blended. Form dough into pea-size balls. Place 15 balls with sides touching in triangle shape on ungreased baking sheet. Repeat with remaining dough, placing cookies 2 inches apart.
2. Insert almond slices between balls to form branches. Place 1 pecan piece in bottom of each tree to form trunk. Place 1 cherry piece on top ball of each tree.
3. Bake 7 to 8 minutes or until cookies are set. Cool 1 minute on baking sheets. Remove to cooling racks. Cool completely. Store in airtight container.
