|Rolled oats||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
1. Start oven, set at Moderate, 375° F. Rub cookie sheets with margarine or shortening.
2. Combine the melted butter, margarine or shortening, sugar, egg yolks, oatmeal, baking powder and vanilla and beat thoroughly.
3. Beat the egg whites with the salt until stiff and fold into the oatmeal mixture.
4. Drop the mixture from the teaspoon about 3 inches apart on the cookie sheets. Bake 10 minutes, or until delicately browned.
