|Icing sugar||6 1⁄2 Ounce, sifted (200 Gram)|
|Ground almonds||6 1⁄2 Ounce (200 Gram)|
|Caster sugar||2 Ounce (60 Gram)|
|Lemon juice||1 Teaspoon|
1. Preheat oven to 180°C/350°F/Gas 4. Stir together icing sugar, almonds, caster sugar, lemon juice and egg whites to the consistency of short pastry.
2. Place dough between sheets of plastic food wrap and roll out to 5 mm / 1/4 in thick. Cut out shapes using a star-shaped cutter and place on paper-lined baking sheets.
3. Bake for 10 minutes or until golden. Cool on wire racks.
