|Soft butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Almond extract||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Sifted confectioners sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Sifted regular all purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar/Chopped nuts||2 Tablespoon, colored|
1. In large bowl cream butter with salt and vanilla and almond extracts until light and fluffy, gradually adding confectioners' sugar. Blend in flour gradually. Refrigerate 30 minutes, or until dough can be easily handled.
2. Start heating oven to 400Â°F.
3. Shape dough into rolls about 3/4 inch in diameter; cut each roll into 3/4-inch lengths. Place, on ends, on ungreased cookie sheet; stamp lightly with flat-bottomed glass, covered with damp cloth. Sprinkle generously with colored granulated sugar or chopped nuts.
4. Bake 10 to 12 minutes, or until done. Makes about 5 dozen.
