Easy Snickerdoodles

Ingredients
  Butter/Margarine 6 Tablespoon
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Egg 1
  Milk 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sifted all purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Baking powder 2 Teaspoon
  Ground nutmeg 1 Teaspoon
  Sugar 1 Tablespoon
Directions

Cream butter until light and fluffy.
Gradually beat in sugar.
Beat in egg until well blended.
Stir in milk.
Sift flour with baking powder and nutmeg.
Add all to batter at once and stir until well blended and smooth.
Drop by tablespoon onto a greased cookie sheet.
Sprinkle top of cookies with sugar mixed with additional ground nutmeg.
Bake in preheated hot oven (400°F.) for 8 to 10 minutes, or until cookies are golden brown.
Remove from pan while warm and cool on a rack.
