Master Oatmeal Cookies
|All purpose flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs) (at room temperature)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||1 Teaspoon|
|Milk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Quick cooking oats||3 Cup (48 tbs), uncooked|
Combine flour, baking powder, and salt.
Add shortening, sugar, eggs, vanilla, and about half the milk.
Beat until smooth, about 2 minutes.
Stir in remaining milk and oats.
Drop from a teaspoon onto greased baking sheet and bake at 375° for 12 to 15 minutes.
