Classic Crisp Peanut Butter Cookies

Ingredients
  Shortening 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Firmly packed brown sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Vanilla extract 1 Teaspoon
  Eggs 2 , beaten
  Peanut butter 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  All purpose flour 2 Cup (32 tbs)
  Soda 2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
Directions

Cream shortening, sugars, and vanilla extract.
Add beaten eggs and beat thoroughly.
Stir in peanut butter.
Combine dry ingredients; stir into creamed mixture.
Drop by teaspoonsful onto ungreased cookie sheets.
Press with back of floured fork to make a criss-cross design.
Bake at 350° for about 10 minutes, or until lightly browned.
