Simple Macaroons

Ingredients
  Egg whites 2
  Sugar 4 Ounce
  Ground almonds 3 Ounce
  Rice flour 1 Teaspoon
  Vanilla essence 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Shredded almonds 3 Tablespoon (For Top)
Directions

Beat egg whites stiffly in a large bowl.
Mix the sugar, almonds and rice flour together and fold into the beaten whites; add vanilla essence.
Place the rice paper or greaseproof paper on a baking-sheet.
Put the mixture into a large bag with a 1/2—1-in plain pipe and pipe on to the rice paper in rounds about 1 1/2 in diameter.
Decorate with the shredded almonds and bake in a moderate oven (350° F., Gas 4).
