Bon Bon Cookies
|Powdered sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Milk||3⁄4 Tablespoon (Icing Sugar, 1/2 Cup:)|
|Walnuts/Almonds / cashewnuts, halves||4 Tablespoon, quartered (For Decoration)|
|Flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Baking powder||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Food color||6 Drop|
Mix butter, sugar and vanilla.
Sift flour, salt and baking powder.
Blend the flour mixture with the butter and sugar mixture.
If the dough is dry, add 1 to 2 tablespoons milk.
Heat oven to 195°C.
Make small balls from the dough and place a little apart on an ungreased cookie sheet.
Flatten the balls slightly.
Chill if possible.
Bake in the oven (180°C) for 15 to 20 minutes.
Combine icing sugar and warm milk.
Icing should be of spreading consistency.
If necessary, add more liquid.
Add essence and colour.
Put a little icing on each cookie and decorate with nuts and silver balls.
