Oatmeal-Whole Wheat Cookies
|Soft butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Firmly packed brown sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Maple flavor||1 Teaspoon|
|Whole wheat flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Oats||1 Cup (16 tbs) (Quick-Cooking Or Regular, Uncooked)|
|Chocolate shot||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Finely chopped walnuts||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Cream butter, sugar, and flavoring until fluffy.
Stir in flour and oats; mix until blended.
Divide dough in half.
Shape each half Into a roll 1 1/2 Inches in diameter.
Roll one roll in chocolate shot and the other In nuts.
Wrap in waxed paper; refrigerate.
Cut 1/4 inch slices and place on ungreased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350° for 12 to 15 minutes.
Cool on cookie sheets until firm before removing to wire racks.
