Wonderland Cookies

  Butter/Margarine 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Sugar 1 Cup (16 tbs)
  Eggs 2
  Cream 2 Tablespoon
  Vanilla 1 Teaspoon
  Gold medal flour 2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Soda 1⁄4 Teaspoon
  Food coloring 6 Drop

Mix butter, sugar, and eggs thoroughly.
Stir in cream and vanilla.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Stir dry ingredients together; blend in.
Tint dough with food coloring as desired.
Chill dough 4 to 5 hr.or overnight.
Heat oven to 400°
Roll dough a little at a time 1/8," thick on well-floured cloth-covered board.
Cut out cookies as directed for special shapes (right).
Place on ungreased baking sheet.
Bake 6 to 8 min., or until delicately browned.
Let stand a minute before removing from baking sheet.
If desired, decorate with Easy Creamy Icing or colored sugar.
