|Shortening||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs) (Part Butter / Margarine)|
|Sugar||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Molasses||2⁄3 Cup (10.67 tbs)|
|Flour||3 Cup (48 tbs) (Gold Medal)|
|Cider vinegar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Heat oven to 375° (quick mod.).
Mix shortening, sugar, eggs, and molasses thoroughly.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Blend dry ingredients; add alternately with vinegar to batter.
Drop dough by teaspoonfuls about 2" apart on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake 8 to 10 min., or until no imprint remains when touched lightly.
