Lois' Ginger Snaps
|Molasses||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
|Ground ginger||2 Teaspoon|
Heat molasses and shortening.
Mix dry ingredients and add to first mixture (it does not need to cool).
Thoroughly chill, toss on lightly floured surface, roll very thin and cut.
Handle quickly so dough does not become warm.
Bake at 375° for 8 to 10 minutes.
