Praline Cookies

Ingredients
  Shortening 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Sugar 3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)
  Unsulphured molasses 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
  Egg 1
  All purpose flour 2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)
  Ground cinnamon 1 Teaspoon
  Soda 1 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Salt 1 Teaspoon
  Ground ginger 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Butterscotch flavored morsels 6 Ounce (1 Package)
  Sugar 2 Teaspoon
  Pecan halves 1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)
Directions

Cream shortening and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add molasses and egg: mix well.
Stir in dry ingredients; mix thoroughly.
Stir in butterscotch morsels.
Chill in refrigerator 2 hours.
Form into 1-inch balls: roll in sugar.
Place on greased cookie sheets.
Top each with a pecan half.
Bake at 375 ° for 10 to 12 minutes.
