Raisin Oatmeal Drops
|Oat flakes||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Baking powder||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Ground cloves||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Shortening||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), softened|
|Firmly packed light brown sugar||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Honey||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Milk||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Vanilla extract||2 Teaspoon|
|Seedless raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Pecans||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs), chopped|
Crush oat flakes to make 1 cup crumbs.
Combine flour, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and cloves.
Combine shortening, sugar and eggs; beat until smooth.
Add dry Ingredients, honey, milk and vanilla extract; mix well.
Fold in oat flake crumbs, raisins and pecans.
Drop by well-rounded tablespoonsful onto greased cookie sheets.
Bake at 350 ° for 8 to 10 minutes: remove from cookie sheets at once.
