Garden Party Cookies
|Soft butter/Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|All purpose flour||2 Cup (32 tbs)|
|Grated fresh coconut||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs), or shredded|
Cream butter and sugar until light and fluffy.
Combine flour and salt: add with coconut to butter mixture, blending thoroughly.
Shape into 2 rolls, 1 1/2 inches in diameter; wrap the dough well, and chill or freeze.
To bake, slice chilled dough (thaw first if frozen) about 1/4 inch thick, and place on ungreased cookie sheets; bake at 300° for 25 minutes, or until lightly browned.
