Oatmeal Raisins Cookies
|Vegetable shortening||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs)|
|Brown sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Water||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Flour||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Baking soda||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Raisins||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Rolled oats||3 Cup (48 tbs)|
1. Preheat oven to 350° F.
2. Beat together shortening, sugars, egg, water, and vanilla until creamy.
3. Combine flour, salt, and soda. Add to creamed mixture. Add raisins and rolled oats. Mix well.
4. Drop by rounded teaspoonhils onto ungreased cookie sheet; makes 5 dozen cookies.
5. Bake 12 to 15 minutes.
