Whole Wheat Cookies
|Butter||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
|Molasses||1⁄2 Cup (8 tbs)|
|Baking soda||2 Teaspoon|
|Ground ginger||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground cinnamon||1 Teaspoon|
|Ground cloves||1⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Whole wheat flour||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
1. Melt butter or margarine with sugar and molasses in small saucepan over low heat. Cool.
2. Combine salt, baking soda, ginger, cinnamon and cloves with whole wheat flour in a large bowl. Stir in butter-molasses mixture. Mix in vinegar. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto greased cookie sheets.
3. Bake in moderate oven (350°) 7 minutes, or until cookies are set. Remove carefully with spatula to paper towels to cool. Store in covered liar.
