Ground Almond Cookies
|All purpose flour||1 3⁄4 Cup (28 tbs)|
|Margarine||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Granulated sugar||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Almond extract||3⁄4 Teaspoon|
|Almonds||1 Cup (16 tbs), ground or very finely chopped (blanched)|
|Powdered sugar||1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)|
Measure flour onto waxed paper.
Add salt and stir to blend.
Cream thoroughly the margarine, granulated sugar replacement and almond extract.
Add blended dry ingredients and almonds to creamed mixture.
Shape dough into 1 in. (2.5 cm) balls or crescents.
Place on ungreased baking sheets.
Bake at 375°F (190°C) for 10 to 12 minutes until lightly browned.
Remove from baking sheets.
Cool slightly on rack.
Roll in powdered sugar replacement.
