Royal Cherry Crowns

Ingredients
  Butter 1⁄4 Pound
  Sugar 1⁄4 Cup (4 tbs)
  Salt 1⁄8 Teaspoon
  Orange extract 1⁄2 Teaspoon
  Hard cooked egg yolks 2
  All purpose flour 1 Cup (16 tbs), sifted
  Green candied cherries/Red candied cherries 3
Directions

Cream the butter.
Gradually add the sugar, salt, and orange extract; beat until fluffy.
Force the egg yolks through a wire strainer into the creamed mixture.
Gradually blend in the flour.
Using the crown flat design plate of a cookie press, force the dough through the press onto an ungreased cookie sheet.
Decorate the points with bits of the candied cherries.
Bake in a 375° oven for 7 to 10 minutes, or until set but not brown.
