Cherry Dot Cookies
|All purpose flour||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 Teaspoon|
|Margarine||3⁄4 Cup (12 tbs), softened|
|Sugar||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Low fat milk||2 Tablespoon|
|Chopped nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely chopped pitted dates||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Finely chopped maraschino cherries||1⁄3 Cup (5.33 tbs)|
|Corn flakes cereal||2 2⁄3 Cup (42.67 tbs), crushed to 1 1/3 cups|
|Maraschino cherries||15 , cut into quarters|
Stir together flour, baking powder and salt.
In large mixing bowl, beat margarine and sugar until light and fluffy.
Add eggs; beat well.
Stir in milk and vanilla.
Add flour mixture; mix well.
Stir in nuts, dates and chopped cherries.
Shape level measuring tablespoonfuls of dough into balls.
Roll in crushed Kellogg's Corn Flakes® cereal.
Place on lightly greased baking sheets.
Top each with cherry quarter.
Bake at 350°F about 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove to wire racks to cool.
