|Baking soda||1 Teaspoon|
|Semisweet chocolate chips||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
Cream shortening or butter, sugar, brown sugar and vanilla in large mixer bowl until light and fluffy.
Add eggs; beat well.
Combine flour and baking soda; add to creamed mixture.
Stir in chocolate chips.
Drop by teaspoonfuls onto un-greased cookie sheet.
Bake at 350° for 10 to 12 minutes or until lightly browned.
Remove from cookie sheet; cool completely on wire rack.
