|Sifted confectioner's sugar||1 1⁄2 Cup (24 tbs)|
|Butter||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Almond flavor||1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Gold medal flour||2 1⁄2 Cup (40 tbs)|
|Cream of tartar||1 Teaspoon|
Mix sugar and butter.
Mix in egg and flavorings.
Measure flour by dipping method or by sifting.
Blend dry ingredients; stir in.
Refrigerate 2 to 3 hr.
Heat oven to 375° (quick mod.).
Divide dough in half and roll out on lightly floured pastry cloth to 3/16" thickness.
Cut with floured cooky cutter.
Sprinkle with sugar.
Place on lightly greased baking sheet.
Bake 7 to 8 min., or until delicately golden.
