|Brown sugar||2 1⁄4 Cup (36 tbs)|
|Sifted flour||2 3⁄4 Cup (44 tbs)|
|Baking powder||2 1⁄2 Teaspoon|
|Nuts||1 Cup (16 tbs)|
|Chocolate chips||250 Gram (1 Package)|
Melt shortening; stir in brown sugar.
Cool slightly and add eggs, one at a time, beating well after each addition.
Add flour mixture, nuts and chocolate chips.
Spread into lightly-greased 10 x 15 x 3/4 pan which has been lined with brown paper.
Bake 25 minutes at 350°.
Cut into squares when almost cool.
